While preparing for their anniversary conference, ALTO received the shocking news about the devastating earthquake that destroyed lives, buildings and infrastructure in Turkey and Syria on 6th February. The ALTO Board decided to carry on with the original plans in Istanbul as it shows solidarity with the people of Turkey and cancelling the event would have showed fear and stop much needed funds going into the country.

ALTO set up a fundraiser link which was further enhanced by a talented artist and friend Alec Boreham who offered seven beautiful work of art to the highest donors of the fundraiser. We organised a small art exhibition during the conference which encouraged participants to support the cause. 

Guard.me who also celebrate the company's 25th anniversary this year decided to not only support the conference as Gold Sponsor, but to match the amount collected in the ALTO Fundraiser to help the rebuilding of the earthquake affected areas in Turkey and Syria. Their generous offer is much appreciated!
